PRETTY FLOWER
We can all dream of the ultimate improv show: gripping but hilarious, moving yet effortlessly creative, alive with all the possibilities of theatre. In the Pretty Flower we’ll create a core world to revisit time and again after flights of comic exploration. We’ll learn how to take the energy of bold ensemble play, and pack it into the hearts and souls of our characters. And we’ll practise what to do with our discoveries, and when to set them aside to bring back later, always with joy, and sometimes with devastating effect. The ultimate show may be a dream destination, but this course will leave you inspired to make the long and thrilling journey.
ORGANIC FREEFORM
Toss out the rulebook and follow the fun: this is improvisation at its most playful. Freeform is exhilarating, liberating and joyful. On this course you’ll discover and practise more than 20 different ways to move between scenes with maximum pace, inspiration and theatricality, with a focus on pure fun. You’ll also gain a broader understanding of theme, and learn how to open yourself up to making those on-stage discoveries that surprise and delight the audience. Come and play dynamically, in the moment, and set yourself free.
